Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you offer chimney sweeping services?
A: Yes! We have a team of Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA)-certified sweeps who will perform a complete cleaning and Level 1 inspection of your chimney system. This includes evaluating the overall condition of your entire chimney, cleaning your firebox and damper, clearing out soot and creosote buildup in the chimney flue, and inspecting and cleaning your chimney cap – we’ll even access your roof if needed.
Q: Do you service pellet stoves?
A: We sure do. During your pellet stove’s annual maintenance, we can give it a thorough cleaning. This involves cleaning the entire stove itself, along with the venting system. If your stove isn’t performing as expected, we can perform an Operational Assessment that checks all of the parts and functions of the stove to identify any problems. We can also replace parts to get your stove back up and running.
Q: Do you work on gas stoves and fireplaces?
A: We work on gas appliances quite often! Whether your pilot is out or your burner won’t turn on, we can find and resolve the problem. We can perform a complete Operational Assessment, which evaluates every component in your gas-fueled appliance.
We check the voltage readings of your thermocouple, thermopile, gas valve, etc. to make sure all of the functional components are in working order. We carry common replacement parts on our service trucks, so we do our best to restore your appliance to full function during your visit.
Sometimes, all your gas fireplace, stove, or insert needs is a thorough cleaning, and we can do that too!
Q: What can I expect during a gas fireplace cleaning?
A: We will perform a complete Operational Assessment, which is the most thorough offered in the Foothills communities. We will also clean your appliance, all of the components, logs, and glass doors. We’ll also complete a leak test to make sure your appliance is safe.
Q: I just bought my home. How do I make sure my fireplace is safe to use?
A: Congrats on your new home! We can help you with that. Regardless of whether your new hearth appliance burns wood, gas, or pellets, our certified technicians can perform a real estate chimney inspection or Operational Assessment to make sure everything is in working order.
We can also clean your appliance so that you can get the most out of it. We pride ourselves on a full package of service. After an inspection and cleaning, we will also alert you when components begin to degrade.
Q: Do you service clients in my area?
A: We have a wide service area, ranging from Silver Plume on the I-70 corridor to downtown Denver at I-25, and north to Arvada and Westminster. If you’re on the south side of town, you’re in our service area from Fairplay to Littleton, to Highlands Ranch to Centennial – and everything in between!
