At Mountain Man Fireplace & Chimney, we require all of our technicians and staff to attain certifications from either of two national organizations. The National Fireplace Institute (NFI) certifies installers for wood, gas, and pellet-burning appliances as well as hearth installation planners. The Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) certifies chimney sweeps in the proper sweeping and inspection of wood-burning appliances and venting.
Our Hearth Industry Certifications
We have members of our staff with each of the following certifications:
- NFI-Certified Gas Technician: Gas Technicians are trained and certified in the process of designing, installing, and servicing gas hearth systems. They have an extensive knowledge of codes and standards as well as the components and requirements of gas appliances.
- NFI-Certified Wood Technician: Wood Technicians are trained and certified in the process of designing, installing, and servicing wood-burning hearth systems. They have expertise in codes and standards too, as well as the components and requirements for wood-burning appliance installations.
- NFI-Certified Hearth Design Specialist: Hearth Design Specialists are trained in the planning and design of fireplace installations, wood, gas, and pellets. Their expertise is in the requirements for installing each type of appliance and venting.
- CSIA-Certified Chimney Sweep: CSIA-Certified Chimney Sweeps are trained in the sweeping, inspection, and maintenance of wood-burning hearth systems. These fireplace experts are dedicated to keeping your wood-burning appliances safe and efficient, and to keeping you warm.
